“This friendly little one greets me once again. “Hello” reminds me of why I’m in Santa Barbara. My energy and creativity comes from water and nature. For several months, this seascape friend connected with me daily and we shared friendly eye contact as if there was some unspoken words. I hope to express the same with my photography and creative art to others.”
In the goal to continue to share images, I sent a few in to the Tri-County exhibition at the Ridley-Tree Museum of Art on the Westmont College Campus. The theme this year was “To Be Honest”. To me, nothing is more honest than communicating with the same seal for several weeks daily. This little guy would follow us up the beach… sort of like he/she was a partner in our walks. It’s so fun to connect with wildlife in nature.
If you are nearby, I hope you have the opportunity to see the show at Westmont. There are many diverse and beautiful works in the show. The show runs from May 16 through June 15 2024.
